Chris Lund - Guitar, Banjo

Teaching Experience

Chris has been teaching guitar full-time since 1997 with a client load ranging from 30-55 students weekly/monthly.  Chris also teaches banjo.

He was a resident teacher at many music stores in greater Tacoma WA up until 2021 when he  relocated to Phoenix AZ in June of that year and now has multiple locations in the greater Phoenix Scottsdale area. One of Chris' long-time former students, Jared Dines, was featured on the cover of Guitar World Magazine recently and gave Chris a nice shout-out in his interview for the magazine.

Performance and recording experience

Chris fronts the band Lund Bros (aka International Pop Overthrow and Loser depending on the decade) as lead guitarist, lead vocalist and primary songwriter.  The band has released 12 full length CDs over the course of the last several decades, three of which are double-disc sets.  All these records are comprised of original songs and have received highly favorable reviews throughout the world.  This music is guitar and vocal hook-based rock stylistically akin to the likes of Cheap Trick, Queen, Van Halen, the Beatles, Badfinger and the Raspberries for example.

Chris has been interviewed and played on Seattle's long-time stalwart rock radio station KISW, performed live in the studio on NW indy favorite KEXP, and received rotation on University of Washinton's college radio station KNDD among others.  In the twelve years prior to forming Lund Bros in 1993, Chris performed full time as lead guitarist and backing vocalist in many band's ranging from rock, blues, funk, c&w, and top 40.

Audio samples of Chris' playing and songcraft along with his bio, client testimonials, policy statement,  record reviews and more abound on his extensive teaching website www.chrislundguitarinstruction.com and also on his band website www.chrislund.rocks.

Methodology

Though Chris specializes in Rock for his own recordings and performances, he is well-versed in many styles, teaching Blues, Jazz and Classical guitar and accepting students of all ability levels.  Over time, he advises students to study several styles in order to become well-rounded players.

Chris emphasizes sight-reading as the best starting point for beginning players, but will adjust curriculum based on a student's currently assessed knowledge and ability.

Nancy Bagley - Ukulele

A native Texan, Nancy Bagley has lived in Arizona since 1993.  She has been singing since she was a child, and six years ago borrowed her daughter’s ukulele and set out to learn to play a single song.  Her once single song set list has grown to include songs from over seven decades.  And two years ago, she accepted a challenge from a friend and has been learning to play the guitar ever since.  Some consider her a musical anomaly because she plays a right-handed ukulele and a left-handed guitar.

Widowed in 2009, Nancy is the mother of two amazing young adults, Bryce and Bridgette (Bri), and is currently engaged to a lovely British gentleman and bass player, Neil Cooper.

She enjoys entertaining audiences with her uplifting music!
