Kirk Sands Nylon - 1991
Here's a beautiful Kirk Sands Nylon. This one is from 1991. We did a complete fret job on this one. It needed fret end work and a couple high frets. The electronics sound fabulous! It plays great! It is signed by Chet Atkins. Although, we have not verify the signature.
Description—Mahogany
The Mahogany Model guitar is one of Kirk's original designs. Chet Atkins' love of Kirk's guitars (this model in particular) really put it on the electric classical guitar map. This instrument has a 2¼ inch thick body made of Honduras Mahogany that is routed completely hollow, allowing for the delicately braced spruce top to resonate like a fine classical guitar.
Neck widths and scale lengths are the personal specifications of each customer, as are the various cosmetic options, which include abalone or mother of pearl inlay and wood purfling of many designs.
