Sankey Mignonnette - Yellow Cedar Rubio Monocoat
Michael Sankey has been making musical instruments from his base in Ottawa, Canada since 1997.
Through the creation of over 130 completely unique instruments and over a decade of international exhibitions, he has established himself as one of the worlds’ most experimental and original contemporary luthiers. His work represents a challenge to traditional interpretations of what a guitar can be, yet pays homage to the craft of lutherie through a deep study and appreciation of its history and practice.
Each guitar is one-of-a-kind, and requires a huge amount of research, experimentation, and handwork; an output of less than 12 guitars per year is a guarantee of excusivity. A Sankey guitar may not be for everybody- but each one is for somebody.
